For any Optic Footprint on the CZ P10, a new Glock-style dovetail is required to mount iron sights. This can be done either behind the optic, or in front of it. If you do not wish to add sights, make a notation in checkout where you would like the dovetail location.
Free Installation, completed with the correct Torque Specs and the application of Blue Loctite.

This is a service based product, for the machining of an optic footprint onto a CZ P10 pistol slide that you provide. 

  • For all CZ P10 Pistol Slides
  • For a true precision fit, you must either ship us an optic with your slide, or purchase one with your order.  Without the optic on hand, we will cut the slide to the print length of the optic, which may result in a perfect, extremely tight, or easy fitment.  Most optic body lengths are within .0005-.001′ across the same model, so you will have half of that between each end of the optic and pocket wall.  For optic cuts with recoil posts, visit the Universal RMR/RMSc Footprint page.

Some footprints require the rear sight dovetail to be absorbed.  In this instance, you have the choice to have a new dovetail machined.  If you choose that, we will machine a Glock style dovetail either behind, or in front of the red dot, whichever is possible.  We machine toward the rear when possible.  Choosing to add a set of optic height sights is recommended.  We have sets that match this configuration and will install them for you.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ THIS INFORMATION:

Your responsibilities for shipping us the slide:

  1. Please clean your slide of any debris, carbon, or oil.  We do not place dirty or lubed slides inside of our machines as it contaminates the CNC Coolant used in the machining process.  If your slide is dirty, there will be a $20 surcharge for cleaning which will need to be paid prior to your slide shipping back to you. We don’t expect it to be so clean that we can eat off it… But you get the idea, right?
  2. Please follow the instructions at checkout – If you don’t have access to a printer, include identifying information inside your shipped package –  a handwritten, legible note with your name, order number and contact number will suffice.  This is imperative to the logistics of processing orders in a swift and accurate manner.
  3. Do NOT send us your Frame.  We only need the Slide, and The Slide Cutter hates doing paperwork.
  4. If you already have your optic, include it in your shipment and we will mount them on your slide for free
  5. If you send us your slide completely stripped, You are a national hero.
  6. If you send The Slide Cutter stickers or patches, he will tag you in our Instagram – Don’t forget to send your IG@

Coatings:

  • QPQ Black Nitride Coating is included with our Optic Cut service at no additional cost.  If you want your slide to be Black and look “Factory”, this is our recommendation.  It is the same coating that is on the majority of AR15 BCG’s.  This is completed by an industry partner, which is one of the top Nitride companies in the United States.  They are ISO 9001 certified and have been operational for decades.
  • DLC Black or, Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) Coating delivers exceptional surface performance—combining extreme hardness, ultra-low friction, and outstanding resistance to wear and corrosion.  This service is performed by a premier, internationally recognized provider with more than 65 years of engineering expertise and over 40 years dedicated specifically to advanced coating technologies.
  • PVD; TiN, AlTiN, AlCrN, TiAlCN, and ZrN coatings are a high-performance surface treatment that bonds ultra-thin, durable material layers directly to metal substrates in a vacuum environment. It significantly increases surface hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion protection while also improving lubricity and reducing friction. This service is provided by the same company as DLC. (We will be adding this option to the site very soon)
  • Cerakote is optional and comes with an additional fee. Your entire slide will be Cerakoted. Custom colors may be available upon request.
  • Bluing is nothing special.  This is a liquid surface application that anyone could do at home.  Bluing is unnecessary, and often not possible to apply, on slides made from stainless steel due to their metallurgical properties.  We only blue non-stainless slides.

Iron Sights:

We offer Iron Sights from Night Fision and Angry Bear Arms, with more to follow.  We utilize slightly different sight heights (+/- 0.015″) depending on the optic cut of choose, so they perfectly co-witness through your glass while keeping visibility obstruction at an absolute minimum. The sight picture of your Irons will just barely protrude above the main body of your optic.

Rear Iron Sight Re-Location:

Certain Optic Footprint / Slide combinations (Like the Deltapoint Pro on a Glock 19/17) require the absorption of the factory rear dovetail.  In this case, you have the option to have a new dovetail machined in front of the factory sight.  We machine Glock-Style dovetails and have cross-brand sight pairs for these situations for select makes and models.  Outside of this necessity, we do not encourage the service.  The idea behind this being done is so you don’t run the ‘risk’ of losing your red dot behind your rear sight.  If you are concerned with losing your red dot at the absolute base of your optic window, behind one of the 0.105″ ears of your rear sight, then relocating the rear sight is for you.  Rear sight relocation is a $25 charge.

Optics:

Mounting is free with our slide cuts, regardless of if you ship yours to us, or buy it from us. We have the lowest optic prices on the internet – Yes, you have to ‘add to cart’ to see price. This is because of a little thing called “MAP”, which stands for Minimum Advertised Price. This is set by the Manufacturer to maintain marketplace integrity.  If you violate that, they violate you, and The Slide Cutter doesn’t want to be violated by anyone other than Mrs. Slide Cutter.

Shipping back to you:

We ship exclusively with UPS.  In checkout, you are welcome to purchase shipping insurance – we recommend that you do, as we are not responsible for packages once they leave our hands.  If you do insure your package and it is lost or stolen, you will need to file a claim with UPS as we have no control over shipments once they leave our possession.

Turnaround Breakdown:

  • Days = Monday-Friday
  • Day 1 starts the day after we receive your slide.
  • +X number of days is the base 3 day turnaround + the X amount of days
  • Optic cut with blued / uncoated cut is a 3 day turnaround
  • Optic cut with Cerakote is +8 days
  • Optic cut with QPQ Black Nitride is +5 days
  • Optic cut with DLC Black is +8 days minimum
  • Optic cut with any PVD is +14 days minimum
  • ***On occasion, Adding Iron Sights and/or an Optic may increase lead time by 3-5 days, based on product availability / stock on-hand.
